Accounting Services Operations Manager

STATUS: EMPLOYEE W-2
HOURS: 35-40 Hours a week
COMPENSATION: $96,000 Annual Salary
LOCATION: Remote, US-based, Mostly PST time zone
START DATE: ASAP

Who We Are Looking For:

Responsibilities: This position serves as the primary bookkeeper for specified accounts with client facing responsibilities.

Bookkeeping: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks; includes A/P, A/R, Payroll reconciliation, Month end close, Balance sheet reconciliation. Beyond the routine, contribute to the evolution of our operational efficiency by helping to design innovative systems and processes that enhance client retention and internal communication. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will not only uphold our standards of excellence but also contribute to the seamless flow of our financial operations, reinforcing our commitment to serving our clients with distinction. 

Problem-Solving: Identify and swiftly resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise. Collaborate closely with team members and clients as needed to tackle challenges head-on, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the financial data. Your proactive problem-solving approach will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operations and fostering trust in our financial processes.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards, staying updated on changes in the industry.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the owner and other team members to support business objectives and deliver high-quality service to clients.

Professional Development: Continuously seek opportunities for learning and growth, staying current on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or proven experience as full charge bookkeeper, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of accounting reporting, principles and practices.

  • 5 years of experience with Intuit products, as well as payroll processors, merchant service providers etc.

  • Tech Savvy, proficient in MS Office Suite, intermediate Excel skills, comfortable with DropBox, Zoom, Slack, ClickUp and CRM tools. 

  • Stays on top of current trends in the accounting industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and an unwavering desire to collaborate.

  • Outgoing and Friendly personality–an accountant who speaks “end-user”. With the ability to translate accounting tools and jargon making it really understandable and digestible to clients.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.

  • Enjoys life outside of work
